Unit 5 Exam!
The Unit 5 Exam will be on Monday, February 1
WWII Timeline Assignment
website we're using - edu.hstry.co

Timelines are Due - Friday!
Friday, January 8
Hello Students - sorry I'm not here today. My daughter came home sick from daycare so I'm having to stay home with her. Here are you instructions for what to do today in class:

Your sub will come around to stamp homework, however you will not be turning in notebooks today. They will be due Monday.
What is expected of my students today:
1. Finish researching basic information and taking notes on your New Deal Program as your #4 in their notebook (you should take no more than 5-10 minutes on this)
2. Brainstorm a New Program for 2016. Taking the information that you learn from their research on their New Deal Program you are going to make an updated program to help people out in 2016. You need to research and brainstorm a few things for this:
  • Title/Name of your program
  • who the program is going to benefit (group of people? ages? certain area of the united states?
  • How is the program going to be funded (taxes, government expenditure, charity)
  • what the program will do specifically for people as well as the detailed descriptions of what will be completed with your program.
** Some of you have programs that are still around today. Your job is to figure out how they've changed since the Great Depression and find ways to improve them further for 2016. OR you can make a whole new program using ideas from your New Deal Program. Your choice.

If anyone has any questions don't hesitate to email me at sarah_gray@ycjsud.us or message me on the remind app.

Thanks for being understanding!!!

Video from 9/11
This is a video with highlights of what news I saw the morning of 9/11. I was 12 years old when it happened and I remember being full of fear for my family members that were in the pentagon and family friends in the world trade center.
